1 can (15 oz.) black beans, rinsed and drained
2 tbsp carob powder
1/2 cup quick oats
1/2 cup molasses (or maple syrup or agave)
1/4 cup vegetable coil
2 tsp vanilla or almond extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
2/3 cup carob chips
Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease 8 x 8 pan. Combine all ingredients except the chips in a food processor and blend until smooth. Add chips and mix until dispersed evenly. Pour into greased pan. Bake the brownies 15-18 minutes; let cool at least 10 minutes before cutting.
Makes approximately 9 brownies.
